A standout during the 1980s and ’90s, Boogie became known for his exceptional ball-handling, quick movements and flashy, entertaining style of play. He made his mark at the legendary Entertainers Basketball Classic (EBC) at Rucker Park, during an era when the court helped define New York City streetball culture.
Boogie takes us back to the days when creativity, handles and personality were just as important as putting points on the board. He also discusses the moves he and his brother brought to the game—moves some credit with influencing a new generation of players, including streetball icon God Shammgod, and helping lay the groundwork for the style later seen through AND1.
